Jossi had her first day of kindergarten today. She was soooo excited. It's definitely a good thing she was excited and wanted to go because I'm not too sure if I was ready for her to go. I have had such mixed feelings, but I know that she is going to love it and it will be great for her. So as a mother usually is, I was unselfish and sent her off to school.
She was most excited to find out that she got "the boy teacher". I was a little suprised by this, but he does seem like he will be a lot of fun. He was also very popular on meet the teacher night. It seemed like half the kids in there were his students from previous years that had to come say hi. Anyway, I think all in all she is going to do great. Lets just hope mom and Rylee can survive the days without her! (by the way, I do want you to know that I got through this day without even shedding a tear. I am quite proud of myself!)

Our Family Reunion/Trip to Washington
So we spent almost three weeks in Washington and a few days of that in McCall, Idaho. We go there every other year for a family reunion with all of my dad's family. With my Grandparents, their children, grandkids, and great grandkids, there are just over a hundred of us now! It is always so fun to see everybody and see what everyone is up to. I always feel so blessed to have been born into such a wonderful family. My Grandparents are such amazing people!! They have really kept the Mackay family as close as can be expected with that many people and everyone living in different places. We had such a wonderful time and really look forward to going back!

All the Mackay Grandkids

L-R Brennan(Michelle's) Rylee, Jossi(Marcie's) Brianne(Michelle's) Cash(Melissa's)
Jaxon(Michael's) Maddy, McCall, McKenna(Melissa's) Dallas(Marc's) Bailie(Michelle's)
Whenever we are all together, we try and get the kids in for a picture. This has never been an easy task, but I guess if everyone is in the picture, that's all that matters right? Anyway, there are now eleven grandkids and one on the way. So yes, in a couple months this picture will be outdated once again. These kids are all so close and love nothing better than to be with each other. Hopefully in a few more years we can all be back closer together again!!

Jossi at soccer camp
So I don't really know what I was thinking signing my kids up for different things this summer. I feel like we are ten times busier. The worst part is all I really want to do is sit at the swimming pool. Instead we are sitting at soccer, swimming and ballet. (That's what Jossi's schedule was like on Thursday!) Well now that the worst is over, we just have to finish up swimming lessons and I guess ballet is a continuous thing, but I think I can handle that. I have no idea how my mom did it with six kids. It's crazy! Anyway now that I'm done complaining... soccer camp for Jossi was really great! I think she really learned a lot, which showed on Friday when we were able to go and watch her scrimmage. Let me just say I was a little surprised. The girl finally has gotten some fistiness(I have no idea if that's a word) in her! Other parents were even commenting on how athletic she is. The only reason I'm bragging is because we sat through three seasons- (two YMCA and one on a Coppell city league team) three very long seasons that we thought would never end. Her first two seasons I don't think she even touched the ball and her third season which was this last spring she did show a little improvement, but didn't get to play much because there were so many rain outs. So you ask, why did she keep playing season after season? Who knows! Whenever it was time to register for the next season she would get all excited and say she wanted to play. Reagan and I would think, well maybe she will like it better this time. Anyway, so we were excited to see that she was enjoying it and doing really good. In fact she was the recipient of the hustle award! Way to go Jossi!!
Jossi looking very determined
I'm not really sure what she's doing here, besides showing a little leg!

Jordyn (aka Jo-Jo) came to visit!!
Last week my cousin Jordyn came to Dallas to hang out with McKenna (Melissa and Brian's oldest). She is thirteen so she is very popular among the grandkids in our family. We had a lot of fun with her. It is so crazy to me how grown up she is. In fact, I found this picture of what a cute little girl she used to be. (Not that she's not cute now, but she's just not little anymore!:)
My cousins Kelsie, Lisa, myself, and Jordyn
Here are some pictures of the fun day we had at six flags with Jordyn, Myself, Jossalyn, Melissa, McKenna, and Madelyn.
We all got soaked on a ride called aquaman. Then you get even more wet as you stand on the bridge and it splashes you. We all welcomed the wetness on such a hot day! We just tried not to think of the nasty green water.

A Mom/Grandma who we love tons and who is so talented!!
So Grandma recently made curtains and pillows for the girls' room. They turned out so good! After a conversation Jossi and I had, I realized maybe we turn to Grandma a little to much to fix things or make things for us. Maybe I should be trying to do some of these things myself. Anyway, we were swimming and Jossi asked, "what happened to our big turtle floatie?" I said, "well it got a hole in it so we threw it away." She replied, "we should have sent that to Grandma to fix mom!" We are so blessed to have such a wonderful mom/grandma. Even if she didn't make and fix things for us, she would still be the best! We love you lots and miss you!!

Jossi's cheerleading camp
Jossi did a cheer camp this last week through the YMCA. She had a lot of fun. They performed their cheers the last day and did really good.
We may have a future cheerleader?!?
