Little bit of this and that!!

So I feel like I haven't posted anything for awhile. So to start off... the first part of April Jossi and I had a girls night out with some friends and went to a local play of Beauty and the Beast. Whitney, a young woman in our ward was in it and did great! What a fun night!!



Jossi finished up soccer only playing in three games, but she did great and had a lot of fun. We will look forward to the fall season.



We have been trying to get the girls outside as much as we can right now while the weather is so nice. They love to ride bikes and Jossi is especially loving to rollerblade. She has had them for about a month and a half now and has done suprisingly well. Reagan loves having someone to rollerblade with so he was very excited for her to get them. A real treat is to go to the roller rink and skate there. Lets just hope for only scratches and no broken bones!!

Soccer Days!!

So Jossi and Rylee are both playing soccer this year. It has been kind of a bummer deal for Jossalyn because she has only been able to play in two games so far with only one remaining. They had so many rain out games that got rescheduled to Sundays and just other cancellations. In her second game of the season the other night, she scored!! She was so excited! After that I saw in her a determination that she wanted to do it again. It was so awesome because she doesn't really play with a whole lot of drive, but this may have done it for her.

Rylee had her first game last week. (She plays with the YMCA so they are just getting started.) I think these are the most entertaining games. She actually has a really good team, so that makes it fun. We don't ever really know what we will get from Rylee. She will run really hard and kick the ball and then decide she's tired and looks at the clouds or the grass. Oh the joy of three year olds playing soccer! It was a fun weekend with Grandma in town. She was able to run from soccer game to soccer game and caught five of them that morning! It worked out really well and the kids loved having Grandma there.

High School Musical on ice

While Grandma was in town, we took McKenna, Maddy, Jossalyn, and Rylee to see High School Musical on Ice. They all loved it!! Rylee loved "pretty Gabriella" and Jossi thought the golf cart on the ice was pretty cool!

Our roadtrip to Arizona

Over a month ago Reagan hit me with the news that Dental school may not be for him. He has put in quite a few hours of volunteering and has decided that it's something he doesn't want to do the rest of his life. After feeling some shock I was mentally running through in my mind all of the things we have done so that he could go to dental school. (Sell a house, move to Texas, leave friends and family, all the hours Reagan spent volunteering). Anyway, I am over all of that now. So the next thing that went through my mind and I asked, "so what now?" He said that for a while now he has really been thinking a lot about being a chiropractor. (Again some more shock on my part!) So anyway our trip to Arizona was for Reagan to go and observe our friends with their new Chiropractic Office. We made a family vacation out of it and the girls and I had a lot of fun being with Kary and her girls. Jossi and Amelia picked up right where they left off and had a blast together. Thanks Kary and Marshall for the fun time. So back to Reagan, he really enjoyed observing and loves the aspect of owning his own business. So the good news is that all of his schooling hasn't been a waste and he got accepted to start Parker College of Chiropractic in May. The other good news is that we will get to stay here for another three years! We have loved it here and are very excited we won't have to move again until we are done with school.
Another very cool thing that happened was on our way to Mesa, we were able to stop on the way and see my brother who is on his mission in Tucson. He has been out for a little over eighteen months and it was so good to see him. The girls had a lot of fun with him and it didn't take them long before they wanted all of his attention.
So we had a very exciting week. That also doesn't count Reagan getting pulled over for speeding, a semi truck side-swiping our car and ripping off our mirror, and cutting our first day short on the road because the freeway had to close down because of high winds. Luckily our ride home was much more uneventful!

A fun afternoon at the park

It has been a beautiful week here in Texas after our couple days of snow last week. What crazy weather!! Jossi is playing soccer for a city league team. (which she hasn't even played in a game because we have been either out of town or they have been cancelled due to rain.) Rylee is also starting through the YMCA. She had her first practice a couple days ago. It was very cute to see all the little three year olds trying to play soccer. So anyway, we took advantage of a beautiful day and took the girls to the park to practice a little soccer. We have learned that we should go to a park without a pond to practice. Jossi was very upset that her ball ended up in the water. She thought we were never going to get it back.

Our first visit to Six Flags this year!

Last Saturday we decided to head to Six Flags. This is our third year with Season passes and we love it! I'm not sure who enjoys it more, the girls or Reagan? It was kind of a chilly day, but I think this was much to our advantage. We bundled up the girls and didn't have to fight any lines. In fact, most of the time if we wanted to stay on and go again we could. Jossi's favorite ride, La Vibora is a bob sled roller coaster that usually has at least an hour long line. She went on it four times in a row and was loving it!! What a fun day!!

Our trip to Seattle

So we came back from Utah and had one day to do wash and get ready to go to Seattle. My sister Michelle called me when we were in the airport to come home from Utah and asked me if me and the girls wanted to meet her with her three kids in Seattle for the weekend. Thanks to Reagan and United for the awesome travelling benefits, we decided why not? My cousin Lisa's basketball team made it to the state championship tournament so we thought it would be fun to go and watch. They did really well and ended up placing sixth. The kids did get a little tired of watching basketball games, but thank goodness for Nintendo DS's, portable DVD players, and Leapsters, they were pretty well entertained. My sister and I had to laugh though when we couldn't find enough plug ins in our hotel room to recharge everything. What is this world coming to?!?

Reagan also surprised us and ended up coming for the last couple days. Mom was brave and drove over the pass all by herself on Friday. We had a great time! Thanks Michelle for the invite. We always love to spend time with ya'll!!
